For AI agents: a documentation index is at /llms.txt. Every page is also available as markdown, just append .md to the URL.

Overview

With Reap MCP connected, your AI agent can open any project, or a single clip, in the Reap editor. What happens next depends on whether your agent has its own browser:
  • Agents with a browser (Claude Code desktop app, Claude in Chrome, Codex desktop app, OpenClaw) open the editor there and can edit the clip for you while you watch.
  • Agents without one (Claude.ai, ChatGPT, and other chat apps) send you the editor link, and you edit the clip yourself.

Open A Clip

Your agent finds the project, and the clip if you named one, then opens it.

In An Agent’s Own Browser

The browser built into an app like Claude Code is separate from yours, so it isn’t signed in to Reap. Your agent signs it in for you:
1

Your agent gets a one-time sign-in link

Reap MCP creates a sign-in link for the workspace you connected. It works once and expires after about 2 minutes, and your agent never shows it in the chat.
2

The editor opens, signed in

Your agent opens the link in its browser and lands on the clip, already signed in to your Reap workspace.
3

It stays signed in

Later projects open in the same browser without signing in again.
Claude in Chrome works in your own Chrome, where you’re already signed in to Reap, so it opens the regular editor link.
The browser your agent signs in stays tied to your Reap MCP connection and its workspace. If you revoke the connection, that browser is signed out too.

In Your Own Browser

If your agent can’t open a browser, it replies with the editor link. Open it in a browser where you’re signed in to Reap and edit as usual.
