Overview

When Reap generates clips, you see a fast, low-resolution preview first. Exporting renders the final video file at your chosen resolution. Once a clip is exported, you can download it or publish it right away.

Export A Single Clip

1

Open the clips page

Open the project that contains your clips.
2

Click Export

Click Export under the clip. Its status changes to Exporting….
3

Download when it's ready

When the export finishes, the clip shows Ready to download and the button changes to Download. Click it to save the video.
You can also export from the editor: click Export in the top right corner. If you’ve made changes, save them first. Reap reminds you with Export started. Save your latest changes before leaving.

Export Or Download Several Clips At Once

1

Select the clips

Tick the checkbox on each clip you want, or click Select all to pick every clip.
2

Choose an action

  • Export renders every selected clip.
  • Download saves the selected exported clips as a single zip archive.
  • Publish opens publishing for all selected clips.

About The 480p Preview

Clips play as a 480p preview before they’re exported, so you can review them quickly. This preview is not the final quality. The exported file uses the resolution set for the project (720p, 1080p, 2K, or 4K, depending on your plan). You can change the export resolution in the editor from Timeline settings. See Timeline Settings.

What To Know

  • You don’t have to export a clip before you schedule it. Reap exports scheduled clips automatically before they post. See Why the “Publish” Button Is Disabled for Un Exported Clips.
  • While a clip is exporting, you can’t duplicate or delete it. Wait for the export to finish.
  • If you edit a clip after exporting it, export it again so the download and any published posts use your latest version.
