Overview

Your edits in the editor are saved as a draft of the clip. A saved draft keeps your changes, so you can close the editor and come back later. Exporting then renders that draft as a final video.

Save Your Work

  • Click Save in the top right corner, or
  • Press ⌘S (Ctrl+S on Windows).
The status next to the clip title shows Saving… while it saves and Saved when it’s done. You’ll see Draft saved to confirm.

Undo And Redo

The Undo and Redo buttons sit at the left of the timeline toolbar.

Leaving The Editor With Unsaved Changes

If you try to leave with changes you haven’t saved, Reap asks Leave without saving?
  • Keep editing returns you to the editor.
  • Leave anyway discards your unsaved changes.
  • Save saves your changes before you leave.

Saving Before You Export

Save before you click Export so your saved draft and your exported video match. If you export with unsaved changes, Reap reminds you with Export started. Save your latest changes before leaving.

Start Over From Your Last Save

To throw away every change since your last save, use Reset Timeline in Timeline settings. This can’t be undone. See Timeline Settings.
