Overview
Most failed posts come from one of five causes: the social account needs reconnecting, the clip wasn’t exported in time, the video doesn’t meet the platform’s requirements, the social platform’s own posting limit was reached, or the platform rejected the post. Check the post’s status in the Calendar, then use the fixes below.Post Statuses
Common Reasons And Fixes
The Social Account Was Disconnected Or Its Access Expired
Platforms sometimes expire the access they’ve given Reap. Fix: go to Settings › Connect Socials, reconnect the account, then schedule the post again. The Clip Wasn’t Exported Before The Scheduled Time
Reap exports unexported clips automatically before they post. If the export doesn’t finish in time, the post can fail. Fix: export the clip, wait until it shows Ready to download, then reschedule. For important posts, export ahead of time. See Why the “Publish” Button Is Disabled for Un Exported Clips. The Video Doesn’t Meet The Platform’s Requirements
Reap checks the video before posting and may show:- This clip’s size isn’t supported for Reels. Facebook Reels need a vertical (9:16) video of at least 540 × 960 pixels.
- This clip’s frame rate isn’t supported for Reels. Facebook Reels need 24–60 frames per second.
- This clip is too short / too long. Facebook Reels must be 3–90 seconds.
- This clip doesn’t meet Facebook’s Reel requirements. Post it as a Video instead.
- We couldn’t read this video. Try another file or export this clip again. The file may be damaged. Export it again or upload a different file.
