Overview
API keys let tools like Zapier, your own scripts, or a developer’s app use Reap on your behalf. You create and manage them in Reap. To learn how to use a key in code, see the Authentication guide.Open API Keys
Click API Keys in the left sidebar, or click your avatar in the top right, choose Settings, and open API Keys.Create A Key

Click Create a secret key
The Create an API key form opens.
2
Name it (optional)
Under Key name, add a name that says where the key is used, for example
Zapier or Production server.3
Set an expiry (optional)
Under Expiry, pick a date if you want the key to stop working automatically. Keys don’t expire unless you set a date.

5
Save your key
Copy the key and store it somewhere secure, such as a password manager. It can’t be viewed again. If you lose it, delete it and create a new one. Click Done when you’ve saved it.
Manage Your Keys
Each key is listed with its Name and a masked version of the key.Limits And Rules
- You can have up to 10 active API keys.
- A key is linked to your user account. If you’re removed from the studio, your keys are deactivated.
- Studio owners can view and manage every API key in the studio.
- Each AI tool you connect through Reap MCP appears in this list as a key named MCP — [tool], for example MCP — Claude. See Manage Or Revoke MCP Connections.
Keep Your Keys Safe
- Never share a key or paste it into public places such as browser code, screenshots, or public repositories.
- Reap may automatically deactivate a key that becomes publicly exposed.
- Use a separate key for each integration so you can delete one without breaking the others.
