Overview

Processing time depends mostly on how long your video is and which tool you’re using. While a project is processing, Reap shows each stage and an estimated time left on the project page.

What You’ll See While It Processes

Each tool moves through its own stages: The project page also shows Estimated time. Before analysis starts, it shows about 15 minutes. Once analysis begins, it counts down based on your video.

You Don’t Need To Wait On The Page

You can close the tab or keep working on something else. Reap emails you when your project is ready. To make sure you get these emails, ask your studio admin to keep Project emails turned on in Manage Studio Settings.

Ways To Make Processing Faster

  • Process only what you need. Use the Processing Time Frame slider so Reap analyses a shorter section. See Save Credits Using Time-frame Slider.
  • Use a clean source. Videos with clear speech, little background music, and no corrupted frames process more reliably.

If It Seems Stuck

1

Refresh the project page

The status updates automatically, but a refresh makes sure you’re seeing the latest state.
2

Check the project status

On the Projects page, check whether the project is still Processing or has changed to Failed (Invalid). See What Project And Clip Statuses Mean.
3

Retry a failed project

If processing failed and you see a Retry button, click it. Common causes are listed in Why can’t I use AI Clipping?.
4

Contact support

If a project has been processing far longer than the estimate, contact support from the chat bubble or at hello@reap.video. Include the project link from your browser’s address bar so the team can find it quickly.
If you no longer need a project that’s still processing, you can cancel it and get your processing credits back. See Cancel A Processing Project.
