# What Project And Clip Statuses Mean

> Understand the status shown on each project and clip, and what you can do in each state.

> **For AI agents:** a documentation index is at [/llms.txt](/llms.txt). Every page is also available as markdown, just append `.md` to the URL.

## Overview

Reap shows a status on every project and on every clip inside a project. The status tells you whether the work is still running, ready to use, or needs your attention.

## Project Statuses

You can filter by these statuses on the **Projects** page.

| Status | What it means | What you can do |
| - | - | - |
| **Processing** | Reap is still working on the video. | Wait, or leave the page. Reap emails you when it's ready. You can also [cancel it](/help-center/cancel-a-processing-project). |
| **Draft** | The project exists but hasn't been finished or exported yet. | Open it and continue your work. |
| **Completed** | Processing finished and results are ready. | Open the project to review, edit, export, and publish. |
| **Invalid** | Processing failed. In the app this shows as **Failed**. | Use **Retry** if it's shown. See [Why can't I use AI Clipping?](/help-center/why-cant-i-use-ai-clipping) for common causes. |
| **Expired** | The project reached the end of its storage window and its media was removed. | Upload the video again to create a new project. See [Project Expiry](/help-center/project-expiry). |
| **Cancelled** | Someone cancelled the project while it was processing. | Retry it, archive it, or delete it. |

## Clip Statuses

Inside a clips project, each clip has a small status dot and can be filtered by status.

| Status | What it means |
| - | - |
| **Ready to export** | The clip is generated but hasn't been rendered as a final video yet. |
| **Exporting…** | Reap is rendering the final video file. |
| **Ready to download** | The clip has been exported and can be downloaded or published right away. |
| **Clip failed to process** | Something went wrong with this clip. Try exporting it again, or contact support. |
| **Scheduled** | The clip is scheduled to post on social media. |
| **Published** | The clip has been posted. |
| **Publish failed / Needs attention** | A post didn't go through. See [Why Did My Post Fail?](/help-center/why-did-my-post-fail). |

## Messages You Might See

**Video processing failed!** Reap couldn't finish processing. The project page explains the likely reason, for example:

* The video has too much music, or there's no clear speech.
* The selected portion is silent.
* The video has corrupted frames.
* The orientation data is missing.

If you see a **Retry** button, retry the video. If there's no retry option, contact support.

**Project Cancelled.** Processing was stopped before the clips were finished, and your processing credits were refunded. The project can no longer be edited, exported, or published.

**Project Expired.** The video and clips from this project are no longer available. Scheduled posts you already created will still publish as planned.
