# Delete Your Account Or Change Your Email

> How to permanently delete your Reap account and data, or move your account to a different email address.

## Overview

Your name and email address appear in **Settings › Account**, but you can't edit them there. Deleting your account and changing your email are both handled by the Reap support team, so your data is removed or moved safely.

## Delete Your Account

Deleting your account permanently erases all the data related to it. It can't be undone.

  <Step title="Save anything you want to keep">
    Download any clips, transcripts, or exports you still need. After deletion, they can't be recovered.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Cancel your subscription">
    If you're on a paid plan, [cancel your subscription](/help-center/cancel-subscription) first so you aren't charged again.

  <Step title="Contact support">
    In **Settings › Account**, the **Delete** button under **Delete my account** shows **Contact support**. Email [hello@reap.video](mailto:hello@reap.video) **from the email address on your account** and ask for your account to be deleted.

## Change Your Email Address

You can't change your account email from Settings. To move your account to a new address:

1. Email [hello@reap.video](mailto:hello@reap.video) **from your current account email**.
2. Include the new email address you want to use.
3. Once support has made the change, sign in with the new address.

  If you only want to sign in with Google and your Google email is different, ask support to change your Reap email to match your Google account.

## Change Your Name

Your **Full name** is also read-only in Settings. Email [hello@reap.video](mailto:hello@reap.video) if you need it changed.
