## Overview

If you started a project by mistake, picked the wrong settings, or no longer need it, you can cancel it while it's still processing. Processing stops and the credits used for processing are refunded.

## Cancel From The Projects Page

1. Go to **Projects**.
2. Click **⋮** on the processing project and choose **Cancel**.
3. Confirm with **Cancel project**.

## When You Can't Cancel

Some stages of processing can't be interrupted. If the cancel button is greyed out with the message **This project can't be cancelled at this stage**, let processing finish, then delete the project if you don't need it.

## What Happens After You Cancel

* Processing stops before the clips are finished.
* Your processing credits are refunded.
* The project's status changes to **Cancelled**.
* A cancelled project can't be edited, exported, or published.

From there you can:

* **Retry** the project to run processing again. This uses your credits again.
* **Archive** or **delete** the project. See [Manage Your Projects](/help-center/manage-your-projects).
